Hi there!

Whew, my first blog post (on this site, anyway.) I remember being in high school—which, for me, was sometime between 2005 and 2009—and reading a book about blogging. Even then, it felt like it was too late for that.

But I did write a blog for my semester in Chicago and I think it captures that time in my life pretty well. It’s filled with my discoveries and insecurities and how I navigated my world.

Part of me feels like, “This is a blog for my professional business, so just be profesh. Show your authority.” And, sure, that’s something to be said for that. I’m sure I’ll demonstrate my knowledge in future blogs. But I’ve come to realize that my vulnerability is my superpower. There’s so much relatability there.

We’re all just walking each other home, right? (I love that phrase attributed to Ram Dass.)

Nothing has to be perfect. I mean, I would even argue that nothing should be perfect. I’m just a complex, flawed-but-well-meaning individual, as I have a hunch you are too.

Let’s do this! And let’s make it fun 💜

p.s. While perhaps cliche, it’s never too late to do something. I choose to believe in the benevolent unfolding of life.
